In "Oceanic Dreamscape," artist Gamze Haberal surrendered the brush to the natural pull of pigment on silk — allowing deep navy and teal to bloom outward in the organic, unpredictable way that ink behaves beneath the surface of water. Three anchor points of deep midnight blue draw the eye down the length of the shawl, each one surrounded by a halo of spreading teal — the precise moment a drop of color meets wet silk, frozen in time. Between these anchor blooms, fine hand-drawn botanical lines in olive and sage drift like underwater grasses caught in a gentle current. In the upper corner, a spray of yellow-green seaweed breaks the surface, a whisper of the world above the waterline.
